Jennifer was born in the United States in 1967 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at the renowned School of Visual Arts in New York City. After graduating, she moved to the American west in pursuit of open, dramatic spaces. She then moved to a mountainous region of northern Italy, lured by the beauty of the Italian landscape and culture. In 2012 she returned to the United States in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, living in Breckenridge at 3000 meters elevation. She has traveled the globe extensively and has a passion for beauty and natural space, in particular the open sky and bodies of water.
Jennifer is trained in all manner of painting and drawing, and is a skilled water-colorist, but her true passion lies in large expressionist oil painting. Her work is inspired by majestic landscapes and the forces of nature, and is expressed through a spontaneous dialogue with the world around her. Her paintings are her story of seeking the light. Her work is expressive, instantaneous, and sensual. Her perspective is tactile and sensorial. Her paintings are sometimes dreamlike and sometimes reminiscent of the natural world. Her preferred medium is oil paint.
Her work has been exhibited in New York City, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Colorado, and northern Italy.
Jennifer currently divides her time between her homes in northern Italy and the high Rockies in Colorado, and a few other favorites places, including Hawaii and Crete. She shares her life with her husband of 27 years and her two sons.
